Presenting: One Size Does NOT Fit All – My Brand in Eastern & Western Europe Case Study
Lingerie industry is one of the toughest industries out there. With 120 size variations, numerous styles, patterns, and colors, one can only imagine the multiplies here…
Sylvia’s presentation will focus on local vs global way of thinking about business, customer preferences, and product branding. Her entrepreneurial journey will take us through her experience of brick & mortar retail, wholesale and online activity in both – Western & Eastern Europe, where she is originally from.
Her product line, like no other, is driven by local culture, customs, economics, social norms, and even religion. She strongly believes that Amazon is just a vehicle, a delivery channel to the end buyer, rather than one global marketplace where “one size fits all”.
About Sylvia:
Being passionate about entrepreneurship all her life, Sylvia Stefanowicz joined one of the largest International Banks HSBC in their commercial/corporate segments after graduating from the prestige London School of Economics in 2005. Having worked with business customers for over 10 years, Sylvia decided to use these skills & commence her own business venture in 2017.
Today, her specialty lingerie brand, Bilbette, is rapidly growing in her home country Poland, as well as other parts of Europe. Operating in the demanding field of fashion and in culturally diverse geographies can be challenging but her background, international mindset, and expert industry knowledge allow her to push those boundaries and develop her brand on the European map.
